WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION AND PAYMENT
All poems and payments must be submitted by July 31, 2026. No exceptions.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR THE BOOK TO BE RELEASED?
The Village Poetry Book will be published at the end of September 2026.
IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?
No. Even my daughter has a poem in the book, and she is only 11 years old.
HOW MANY POEMS CAN FIT IN THE BOOK?
Great question! The max number of poems is 200. Once the book reaches capacity, we won’t be taking any more submissions until the following year. So I wouldn’t hesitate on this opportunity, especially when the investment is only $30.
WILL I LOSE MY RIGHTS TO MY POETRY?
No you will still be able to do whatever you want with your poetry.
IS THERE A LIMIT ON HOW LONG THE POEM CAN BE?
Yes. Your poems can be no longer than 25 lines long in Times New Roman 12pt. If your poem is longer than that, you will have to pay for another page which is $30.00 extra.
HOW MANY ADDITIONAL COPIES OF THE BOOK WILL I GET?
You can buy as many copies of the book as you want. Each book is $10.00.
HOW MANY POEMS CAN I SUBMIT?
You can submit up to 2 poems. The cost is just $30 per additional poem submission.
IF I ONLY WANT 1 BOOK, BUT WANT TO SUBMIT SEVERAL POEMS, DOES THE PRICE CHANGE?
No. To participate, it’s an initial $30 which pays for 1 poem and 1 book. After that, each additional book costs $10, and each additional poem costs $30.
WHAT IF I DON’T WANT A COPY OF THE BOOK, AND ONLY WANT TO SUBMIT MY POETRY?
Sure you can do that! You can submit up to 2 poems. The cost is still an initial $30, and then each additional poem is $30 per poem.
CAN I REPUBLISH THE BOOK?
No, but you can use any of your own material and republish it. You may not republish the entire book with the work of others without their permission.
WILL I BE LISTED AS AN AUTHOR IN THE BOOK
Yes. Once the book is published, you will be able to call yourself a published author and poet.
CAN I SUBMIT MY POEM NOW AND PAY LATER?
No, you must pay your $30 submission fee at the time you send in your poem(s).
WILL MY POEM BE EDITED?
Yes. Each poem is proofread for spelling and grammar only to keep the integrity of the poem.
WILL I BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN FUTURE POETRY BOOKS?
Yes. The Village Poetry Book is republished yearly, so you can participate every year if you want to!
WILL I MAKE MONEY OFF THIS BOOK?
Possibly! You can buy as many copies of the book as you want and resell them on your own book tour, book signings, and any other way you can creatively think of! The possibilities are endless! There will be no compensation for participation in The Village Poetry Book, regardless of any future book sales and offers. All money collected will go toward expanding The Village Poetry Book.
WILL THERE BE A BOOK SIGNING?
Yes. As the book grows, a book signing will eventually follow, where you can network with the other writers and invite your friends and family out to celebrate your accomplishment.
WILL YOU DO MORE THAN POETRY BOOKS?
Sure, we are open to many ideas. For now, the focus is on poetry, but that will evolve.
WILL I BE ABLE TO GET A REFUND?
No. Once you have bought a book, it’s yours, and once you have paid for any poetry submissions, they will be prepped for publishing. This is why it is important to be sure you want to do this before paying.

HOW CAN I GIFT THIS OPPORTUNITY TO SOMEONE?
